Have you thought what Large and Small numbers look like, if you haven't you get to read some interesting stuff about our learning in 9ay with Ian Rees. From last term to this term 9ay has been learning about Big numbers and Small numbers, and we learnt how to fly around in a airbus.
The start of term 1 9ay has started to learn a lot about Fractions and Calculations and more. Here is the big questions, How many grains of sand on all the beaches in the world? glad you asked there is 500 Quadrillion Grains of sand in the whole world. If you want a small number stay right here! How small is a sand fly? only 3 mm long. I have more big and small numbers, How many litres of water in the ocean. Roughly 1.260,000,000,000,000,000,000. So far this is only quarter of the work we have been doing, if you wanna know how to fly around the universe in a airbus I have the answers. We had to pick a planet for our flying around in a airbus and i picked Neptune. Distance to Neptune 4.3 x 10^9. Hours 105120, days 4380. My airbus speed - 925, km 0.00464864864. That's all i have found out about my airbus speed and my distance to Neptune.
What we have started to do this term was, we started to learn about different fractions and percentages and if the golf ball hits 130 what would the answer be. We had to calculate some numbers to try and get the answer for the question. We had to work out some hard percentages this term for the golf question we had to use our calculator too get the percentage for the answer. we had to find out percentages for how far they hit and the 1st percentage was 175m 2nd hit was 130m, 3rd hit was 40m, 4th hit was 5m. The percentages we found out for the golf question was, question 1 was the golfer Hit 50% of the goal - because half of 350 is 175 and since he hit 175 that means he hit 50% of the goal. 2nd hit the golfer hit 34%. 3rd hit was 14.5%. 4th hit was 1.5%. That was all I found out about the golf question and the percentages. That's so far what we have done in these 2 terms, I really hope to do some more great maths and learn more.

Hi Logan, First of all this is looking really good I really like how you have laid everything out perfectly and it Is really easy to read. You have told us about what you have been learning throughout the year and gave us all of you working out that you have done so far. It is looking really good and I am looking forward to reading more of your blogs in the future
